Louis Vuitton Limited Tapestries

Cooperated with the well-known Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, Louis Vuitton has promoted two colorful tapestries in January this year. They have designed kinds of great creations together before, including the impressive Monogram Multicolored collection, sweet smiling cartoon faces look, and cherry blossoms style, etc.

These tapestries has two types, the round shape called Flowerball, while the square shape called Pink Time. Both of them are hand-embroidery production.

  • They were hand woven at an Indian rug factory that has a prestigious reputation.
  • Their printouts, made by a semi-transparent film, are sent to Takshi Murakami design team for review.
  • They were sent to the company chosen by Louis Vuitton for production.

It is said that it would take 4 months to finish one of these tapestries. These tapestries are made out of the New Zealand wool with the lock stitching method. If you have chance to look at them by yourself, you must be amazed at this masterpieces and admit that they are really the combination of art and innovation. They features 2m and 3m diameter for Flowerball and 2×2m and 3×3m for Pink Time, both of them are quite suitable and great choice for children’s room.

On April 15, 2010, Louis Vuitton will be releasing a new collection with Japanese Takashi Murakami, the Cosmic Blossom Collection, which include leather goods, ready-to wear and accessories. Here I just want to talk about its handbags.

For the new handbag collection, Louis Vuitton gave the pieces a glossy effect and vibrant color. It is made up of silkscreen-printed vinyl canvas trimmed with patent leather handles and features Murakami’s superflat artwork printed on Louis Vuitton pieces. Louis Vuitton’s iconic Monogram flowers get together with smiling flower faces, a recurrent theme in Murakami’s art, which is famous for fusing manga graphics with traditional Japanese pictorial motifs.Its glossy finish makes the transition from city to beach.

There are three vibrant and fun colors of rose, bleu and violet on it. and they look rather cute but I think they are suited for the ladies. Its two holdall is joined by the Pochette accessories and emblazoned with a Louis Vuitton signature.
